Norway Cruise - Day 9

After yesterday's spectacular weather, we woke up to light rain, fog and low clouds. Fortunately, that won't stop the ship from serving yet more fish for dinner!

Norway Cruise - Day 6

Just short of the most Northern point (other than the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen) - similar cloudy weather with on and off light showers. No trees growing this far North, with an annual temperature range of -60 to 97 degrees!

Finnsnes & Tromso

Yesterday included quick stop and walk around the small port of Finnsnes, well above the arctic circle, on the way to Tromso.

Svolvaer Norway

We jumped off the boat for a the quick 30 minute stop at Svolvaer, Norway. It was about 10PM, but with the midnight sun and heavily overcast skies, it looks the same 24 hours a day right now. The light was surreal, being diffused through the fog. The water had the glacial green tint - and with the bright red Norwegian buildings, made for some fun photography.
